Aiko was born and raised in Victoria, BC before moving to Vancouver in 2016. After graduating university, she built a career centered around helping people, working with at-risk youth and working in a specialized pediatric medical clinic before eventually discovering her passion for permanent makeup.

Today, Aiko wears many hats at Meraki Beauty Bar as a Cosmetic Tattoo Artist, Lash Artist, Wax Tech, SMP Artist, Educator, Marketing Manager, and Shop Manager. Known for her attention to detail and thoughtful personality, she loves creating soft, natural brows while mentoring aspiring artists and helping guide Meraki operations and long-term growth - playing a key role in shaping the brand and experience clients know today. Outside of the studio, Aiko loves living a full, active life and making the most of every day. You’ll find her strength training, playing pickleball, swimming, traveling, running, volunteering, catching a concert, spending time with friends/family. Being by the ocean or near the water is her instant reset, a true water baby! She also loves photography, gaming, road trips, camping, off-roading, self-care days, and is usually planning her next adventure - whether that’s hiking in Peru, visiting family in Hawaii, or cheering on the Vancouver Bandits.
